We'll Beat It by 5%

1.1. Comparable Quote Required

The competing quote must be from an NSW-registered building certifier for a substantially identical scope of work — same service type, same site, same project. The quote must be in writing on the competing firm's official letterhead or branded quote document, dated within the last 30 days, and include a clear breakdown of fees and services.

1.2. 5% Beat — How It Works

We will beat the competing certifier's total fee by 5%. For example, if a competitor quotes $3,000 (incl. GST) for a Construction Certificate, our price-beat fee would be $2,850 (incl. GST). The 5% reduction is calculated on the total quoted price inclusive of GST.

1.3. Scope Must Match

The competing quote must cover the same services we are quoting on. Quotes that bundle services differently, exclude mandatory inspections, omit Principal Certifier duties, or quote for a single-stage approval only where multiple stages are required cannot be compared on a like-for-like basis and may not qualify.

1.4. Competing Certifier Must Be Registered in NSW

To qualify, the competing certifier must hold current registration under the Building and Development Certifiers Act 2018 and be authorised to practise in NSW. Quotes from unregistered parties, interstate certifiers not registered in NSW, or certifiers with suspended or lapsed registrations do not qualify.

1.5. One Claim Per Project

The price-beat guarantee can be claimed once per project. If you receive a lower quote after we have already matched or beaten a previous quote, the guarantee does not apply a second time on the same engagement.

1.6. Must Be Claimed Before Certification Commences

The price-beat guarantee must be claimed before we issue the relevant certificate. Once certification work has been completed and the certificate issued, the guarantee cannot be applied retrospectively, nor can it be used to negotiate a refund or credit on fees already invoiced.

1.7. Our Discretion

Sydney Wide Certifiers reserves the right to verify the competing quote directly with the issuing firm and to decline the guarantee if the quote appears to be artificially low, incomplete, or does not represent a genuine commercial offer for the stated scope of work, including where the quote omits disbursements, council lodgement fees, or other costs ordinarily included in our fees.

1.8. GST & Disbursements

All price comparisons are made on a total fee basis inclusive of GST. Disbursements such as council lodgement fees, NSW Planning Portal charges, or mandatory third-party reports are not included in the price-beat calculation and will be charged at cost regardless.
